Aaron Cohen began his human rights career over twenty years ago as one of the founding members of Jubilee 2000 and the Drop the Debt campaign which became a global movement. Since then Aaron has been a leader in the forefront of human rights, working in multiple jurisdiction around the world impacting human trafficking by searching for and rescuing missing youth. Today Aaron says: “We form task forces to protect victims, prevent the crime from happening, and work to prosecute the criminals, so these victims can have a safe transition out of slavery and into a joyous life. We are a coalescing force that brings people and organizations together while strengthening and building task forces. We help coordinate and mobilize in order to improve effectiveness in various contexts around the world, whether it is Mexico, Burma, Haiti or New York City. We’ve helped hundreds of survivors by having them rescued, and at any given time we’re supporting dozens with all the amenities of after care.”

Dawn Adams, President

Dawn Adams’ main focus as an abolitionist has been to combat human trafficking in the United States by mentoring and inspiring task forces in Las Vegas and Reno, Nev. Chico, Calif, Alaska and Mexico. Dawn successfully established the first Abolish Slavery Day in Chico through diligent and passionate work with the mayor and local government. She helped galvanize law enforcement into forming task force meetings, consequently inspiring the city into backing its civic leaders and law enforcement community. Dawn also escalated federal support for task forces in Nevada by bringing in the FBI to work with police departments in Las Vegas and Reno. She’s spearheaded the campaign to put human trafficking posters in all airports of Alaska, in conjunction with the Blue Campaign. Many people don’t realize that the majority of the human trafficking cases in the United States involve runaway minors and children aging out of foster care. Dawn has made this particular area the primary emphasis of her human rights activism. The success of her campaigns show that when people come together in a combined force, we can truly make great strides in abolishing slavery.
